body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your
calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who

weekend, we were blessed to host one of two Synod Gatherings and to share
in the Affirmation of Baptism for four of our friends in Christ. Each was a
deep sign and witness of the unity of the Church.
Northwest Washington Synod has 121 congregations; Bellevue has 5
congregations. In most years, there is a single Synod Assembly to focus the
mission and work of the church. This year the plan was to have two
gatherings, one in Bellevue and one in Marysville.
Saturday, 150 gathered at Saint Andrew’s in a wonderful celebration of our
lives in Christ. There was Bible study, worship, networking and sharing.
Lots of coffee and the sense of joy that we were just celebrating the way
that the Holy Spirit is working in local and global mission.
Sunday, 4 of our beloved students made Affirmation of Baptism. They were
surrounded by family and friends and those who have walked beside them from
the Font to a day when they confessed the Faith we share in Christ.
Clarke, Seeley Lester, Alex Stedman, and Jake Wilkes shared their faith
statements, “What I Believe.” Imagine what you would write, what you might
say, when asked what you believe. What words would you use?

are the places where you live that faith in action and in words?
Saint Andrew’s there are many points of entry for your growth in Faith and
for you invitation to others to share in the life of mission and ministry.
As summer unfolds, I invite you, call you, to listen to the Holy Spirit and
to find new ways to be a part of the plan and place for being the Church in
the world. One in Christ forever.

Emily Harrow’s Farewell Scroll
by the table in the Narthex to sign Emily Harrow’s farewell scroll. And
this time we want you to color outside the lines! Because Emily, the
Director of Discipleship Ministries, had us coloring posters for Lent and
for Advent, it is appropriate that we use those artistic talents to say
goodbye. Draw a picture of something you enjoyed, a trip you took with
Emily, helping with a fundraiser, participating in Sunday school classes or
adult discipleship hours, or just a fancy design. Add a written message to
the scroll for Emily, Adam and Silas too.
We also welcome contributions to the Harrows’ “New Life in Missouri” fund.
The gift and scroll will be presented at the ministry celebration at 10:45
am on Sunday, June 24.
