time recently with our confirmands. We were hanging out in the Youth Room.
Our topic was Baptism and what it means to all of our lives.
what kind of guy I am, they stared a bit as I asked them to think about
what it means to belong to God’s family. What gift did they bring?
were quiet for moment and slowly they began to share a word, a phrase. And
each of them spoke and in about 30 seconds each one could identify a gift,
about that in each of our lives. You will soon receive your October
newsletter, the VOICE. I often read it from cover to cover. It has
lots of words in a time when people like to keep things brief and concise.
That is why we have our weekly Wednesday Trendings eNews.
we approach the fourth quarter, watch for the steps forward into 2019, a
year of change. And find your place to serve, step up; find a place to be
more clearly engaged in growing in Christ. And to become an even more
inviting congregation which welcomes all into our life together.
ahead, read the newsletter, and count up the number of ways to be involved
and inviting. Life in the Spirit is first and foremost about relationship
to God and to one another.
ahead, jump in, and join in the adventure!

Bread Bakers needed!
quite easy and important ministry needs volunteers to give an hour to
baking bread which feeds our faith family every Sunday at the altar. There
are two ways to help:
· You can sign up online
for a specific Sunday to bring bread.
· The bread freezes well, so you can
also bake when it is convenient for you, without signing up for a specific
day. The bread can be baked anytime, sealed in zip lock bag with the date
it was baked on the label, and brought to church. Place the bread in
container marked “Altar Guild Bread” in the freezer in the Scullery.

ask that all families complete a Youth
Registration Form each year. This form gives us the medical information
and permissions to help keep children safe while participating in Saint Andrew’s
activities, and is used for all activities at Saint Andrew’s for 2018-2019.
Complete one form per family. There is space for up to four children and it
covers all youth from age 2 through Grade 12.
~ Paper copies of the form can be found in the Narthex on the bulletin
board near the church office. Return completed forms to the church office.
~ The form is ONLINE
as an interactive PDF form; it can be found at www.ce.SALChome.org. After
completing and saving it to your computer, either email the form to info@SALChome.org or print and return
the form to Saint Andrew’s.
